Gigabyte has started to talk about order for its Windows 7 tablet, the Gigabyte S1080 in Taiwan. The S1080 is price of NT$22,900 or about $787 which is a little over the NT$22,800 price tag of a first-gen Apple iPad with 64GB and 3G.

Gigabyte S1080 has a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 capacitive touchscreen, a 1.66 GHz Atom N570 dual-core CPU, a 320GB hard drive, Bluetooth 3.0, 1.3MP webcam, and ports for USB 3.0, USB 2.0, external monitor, microphone, headphones and an SD Card. It also comes with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed and weights about 0.90kg.

Gigabyte S1080 is expected to start sales in outside Taiwan next month.
