Aspire One 522 AMD Fusion powered netbook
Acer is among the first netbook manufacturers to begin shipping a popular Aspire One netbook that’s powered by AMD’s new Fusion platform. The Aspire One 522 is a 10-inch netbook and powered by the AMD C-50 APU, with dual core 1GHz processor (TDP of just 9W) and Radeon 6250 graphics capable of supporting Direct X11 games and UVD for better hardware-accelerated video.
The Aspire One 522 features a 10.1-inch, 1280 x 720 display, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, HDMI, three USB ports, VGA-out, webcam, and a multi-format card reader. The 6-cell battery that comes with the standard package should give rated at six hours of life.
The Aspire One 522 is now on sale in Thailand web site Invade IT for 12,829 Baht, the equivalent of $425. It has configurations following as Windows 7 Starter, AMD C-50 processor (1GHz), 2GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB HDD, ATI Radeon HD 6250 graphics, 10.1-inch, 1280 x 720 display, HD webcam, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 10/100 LAN, Bluetooth+EDR and a 6-cell battery.
